Rooftop Solar Panels at 1,000 Schools

Seoul has taken a bold step to combat the effects of global climate change. It will install rooftop solar panels and energy efficient lighting fixtures in 1,000 schools. These installations will also be used to teach students how to conserve energy.

This effort is a part of a national campaign to meet more than 10 percent of South Korea’s energy needs through renewable sources by 2030.
